Movin' on Up II
Good news, Public Radio fans! Beloved on-air personality and occasional Really Top Drawer reader/commenter Dan Drayer is making a triumphant return to Colorado Public Radio as the new host of KCFR Showcase.
Thanks to the Colorado Public Radio Blog for sharing the good news.
Seems like a win-win-win: we lucky listeners get more local content, Mr. Drayer gets an exciting new job, and CPR gets top-notch talent back. Do I hear a woohoo?
I must confess, I haven't ever heard KCFR Showcase (or KCFR Presents, as it was called until recently), but I will have to start tuning in. Denver-based bloggers, have you heard it?

Not to mention another win: more fodder for RTD reviews and insights. I love public radio.
Gentle Readers (and Nancy(!))....
The programming is KCFR Presents (KVOD Presents if it's music-related and on the music stations). KCFR Showcase will be the name of the documentary series that used to be called KCFR Presents. Makes sense, right??!! We'll talk with musicians, have them play in the performance studio, talk with academics, politicians, hold panel discussions on ethics and elections, interview authors and invite audiences, and do a whole lot more stuff that will be broadcast on the radio, web, and during live events. We're still putting it together but it's a great opportunity. And I know y'all will let me know what you think about what you hear!
Thanks for the plug, Nancy!
Any time, Dan. Glad to hear you're off on a new adventure. And though the title(s) is(are) still a bit confusing, it sounds like the program has loads of potential!
I'll be in the CPR listening area soon, so I'll be sure to keep an ear open.
Wait wait wait... Nancy will be in CO soon and Dan has his new show coming up? Does this mean we'll finally get the much anticipated interview between Dan and Nancy? Whaddaya say, guys?
Well it would be a darned shame never to meet in person. Now as to whether Darling Nancy warrants her own spot on KCFR Presents.....well, we'll have to see if she wants to play dress up and if she's willing to create a Dan Schorr costume.....
Ball's in your court, Nancy!
