Holiday Cheer
It's been so long since we've blogged! Time for some updates.
This fall has been busy and fun. A vast improvement over last fall, which was quiet and full of homesickness. I was in a production of Cabaret, which was a blast and brought me a fabulous new circle of friends! Here's a photo from the show. I also have a DVD, so if you'd like to see my pole dancing skillz for yourself, just let me know.
This weekend, I co-hosted a really top drawer dinner party with my new pal Brenna. Believe it or not, we had 14 people in my apartment for a lovely sit-down-dinner soiree. We served some fantastic Lasagna al Forno and also Butternut Squash Lasagna. I think the biggest hit of the evening was the cheesecake. It was silky, a little bit tangy, and oh-so-indulgent. It's a long recipe, and I'm too lazy to transcribe it right now, but I'm happy to send it to you if you want! I'll post photos from the soiree as soon as they are developed.
I'm very excited to get back to CO for the holidays. Although I've really come to enjoy Lynchburg, I miss my family and my Denver-friends terribly! I can't wait to give my little nephews big hugs, and to sit around with my Top Drawer gal-pals drinking wine and catching up.
My life feels full and warm and rich right now. What a blessing!
